Food colors, preservatives, emulsifiers, and other food additives, are all being accused of… According to recent studies, in fact, can lead to Food Addiction.
The news was reported in the last issue of a weekly magazine that also draws a
ranking of foods that contain substances that can lead to a dangerous direction.
In itself, the additives are not harmful or malicious; rather they are governed
and regulated in our country, thanks to the legislation. In fact this additives
in a certain way modify brain behavior, making itself crave more food rich with this substance. At least this is according to David Kessler, former
commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration of the United States and also a professor at Harvard.
According to Kessler’s research on Food Addiction
In some foods fast food, the meat is enriched with additives, with the aim to make it softer, crunchier, and tastier. All these devices, according to Kessler, stimulate our brains to create a real addiction to food supers flavored up to disdain the simple and homemade because perceived as ‘ bland ‘.
Other studies conducted on laboratory animals have shown that foods with increased quantities of additives stimulate behavior in rats similar to those seen in drug abusers or in patients who abuse drugs.
But we look at the rankings of foodstuffs which contain more additives.
The ready made meals -This is more salty foods than homemade. A portion of risotto with porcini mushrooms ready may contain 99% of the recommended daily intake of salt. This compound can lead to Food Addiction.but often times people are not aware of it.

In other cases they use artificial flavorings, particularly the vanilla flavor. It seems that this choice is not causal, since that means that children, even as grown ups, they will continue to prefer the taste of vanilla (for example, many snack foods).
We can as well call this behavior as Food Addiction.
A research on fruit juices instead shows they are so rich in sugars and sweeteners that children have come to prefer these juices instead of the real fruit itself.
In the ranking of course we can not miss the food from fast food, guilty of having abnormal amounts of salt. For example, a Cheeseburgers salt Content may even be about 6 grams, while a pizza usually arrives 3. At the bottom there are drinks without sugar or light.
